The terms on which you may use this website and our free comparison and introduction service for bamboo removal.
Last updated: 11 August 2026
We introduce you to bamboo specialists. We do not survey, remove or contain bamboo ourselves, and we are not a party to whatever you agree with a contractor. Using us is free to you; we may be paid a commission by the specialist. Any survey or visit fee is set by that firm, not by us — always get it confirmed in writing before they attend.
This website is operated by The Lead Advisory Company Limited trading as Compare Bamboo Removal, company number 05374791, VAT number 857848462. By using the site you accept these terms.
We are an independent comparison and introduction service. When you complete our form we pass your enquiry to up to 3 specialist contractors from our panel who cover your postcode, so that they can contact you and quote.
We do not:
Any agreement for work is directly between you and that specialist. Their quotation, contract, warranty and complaints process are theirs, and any dispute about the work is between you and them. We will help where we reasonably can, and we want to hear about a poor experience because it affects whether a firm stays on the panel — but we are not the contractor.
Using this service is free to you. We do not charge you a fee or a commission for the introduction, whichever specialist you choose, and you are never invoiced by us.
What a specialist charges is their own commercial decision. In particular, some firms charge for a detailed site survey, and a survey produced purely as a written report — for a solicitor, a neighbour or a property transaction, with no work attached — is normally chargeable. We do not set, control or receive any part of those fees.
Ask each specialist what a visit will cost, and get the answer in writing before they attend. “Free to use” on this site refers to our service only. It has never meant, and does not mean, that a contractor's survey or visit is free of charge.
By submitting the form you confirm that:
We may verify your phone number by text message or automated call before passing the enquiry on. We may decline or delete an enquiry that appears to be a test, a duplicate or a misuse of the form.
Specialists pay to be on our panel, and we may receive a commission from a specialist if you go ahead with work. That is how the service is free to you.
It does not change the price you are quoted — the specialist sets that — and it does not mean we steer you toward a particular firm or a more expensive method. We would rather state this here plainly than leave it to be discovered.
The guides on this site are general information about bamboo, its behaviour and the options for dealing with it. They are written carefully and reviewed, but they are not a substitute for a professional assessment of your own garden, and they are not legal advice.
Where we mention costs, they are clearly labelled as indicative ranges to help you judge a quotation. They are not an offer, a quotation, or a promise about what your job will cost. Only a specialist who has assessed your site can price it.
Where we describe the legal position — encroachment, private nuisance, disclosure on a sale — that is a general summary of how these situations usually work in England and Wales. Take your own advice on your own circumstances.
We check that firms on our panel carry out this work as a specialism, hold appropriate insurance, and assess a site properly before quoting. We take reasonable care over that, and we remove firms that do not maintain it.
We cannot guarantee the workmanship, conduct or continued solvency of an independent business, and we do not warrant any particular outcome from work you commission. Note also that there is no industry-wide accreditation scheme specific to bamboo work in the UK, so we describe our panel as vetted rather than accredited — a claim about our own checks, which is the only one we can properly make.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Subject to that, we are not liable for the acts, omissions, workmanship, delays or charges of any specialist we introduce you to, nor for loss arising from a decision you take on the basis of the general information on this site rather than a professional assessment.
We aim to keep the site available and accurate but do not guarantee either. The content and design are ours or our licensors' and may not be reproduced commercially without permission.
We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time you use the site is the one that applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
